To be classed as a sports car in 1960, it needed at least two carburettors, being the key component managing the interaction between the driver of and the engine power output. Although they look quite intimidating in terms of refurbishment, they are quite easy to deal with if a methodical approach is taken. “Replace the needles and uses new hoses”. In addition, the fuel tank undergoes a refurb. Callibrating the fuel gauge is a challenge!










The original engines were fitted with twin SU HS1 type carbs. Those shown here are not the factory originals, they would have had brass dashpot lids. They are later versions.
