We have some pictures in this section of two further component restorations. The factory fitted option that was the Smith’s heater/blower, and the windscreen wipers.

The heater unit was a factory fitted option. It took up quite a lot of space in the engine bay, consisting of three key parts, ducting to transfer cold air in and warm air out, a fan or blower to move the air through the system and a heating unit.

The blower (rounded) and the air heater box, fitted into the engine, just needing the inlet ducting to be connected up. The bottom picture shows the slots on top of the dashboard provided for the windscreen warm air vents. The windscreen wiper drives can also be seen.

Here we see the windscreen wiper motor and drive cable removed and being inspected. A lot of motor for such tiny wipers!

Reinstalled, next to where the Clutch/Brake slave cylinder will be fitted.

Getting the exact position of the distinctive Sprite arrow boot badge is very important.

A little footnote, the website logo, the little yellow frog, Frogeye, is taken from the keyring that Petros used. If you look carefully in some of the preservation photographs , it can be seen attached to the ignition key.
