All of the hard work getting the car mechanically sound means that the point is reached where the finishing touches of the restoration are enjoyed.






The internal panels were stripped back from the earlier black finish, tidied up and refinished in the biscuit vinyl. The insides of the door panels were also upholstered in the same material.











The original Sprite interior was a little sparse, not even carpets, just rubber matting. Nowadays, this material is hard to source so most restorations take the opportunity to upgrade to carpets, helping to reduce noise too. If you look closely, you can see Fogeye!

Most of what you read about restoring the sidescreens mentions, the need for patience, care, strength, washing up liquid or talcum powder and a good deal of time. The finished items are defiantly worth the effort.
