Preparation

R & C was prepared for its new life, the start of a new chapter.

Dismantling. Key components recovered, and prepared for preservation and ready for the “custard” removal. (After the Hornets nets are jet-washed away!) This colour choice was not a BMC option.

Bead blasting. The steelwork on the innovative, “first of its kind”, monocoque body/chassis was in pretty good shape. The exception was the filler-repair of a whole/dent caused by a falling tree. This required the damaged area to be removed and expertly patched.

Transport to painting. An excellent job, well done Andy!
